Sansveria cylindrica

Sansevieria cylindrica, also known as the snake plant, is a type of flowering plant that is indigenous to West Africa. It is a 3 foot tall succulent that grows slowly and has stiff, upright leaves. The leaves have unique horizontal yellow stripes and are cylindric in shape. Snake plants are a common choice for indoor spaces because of their reputation for purifying the air. These bizarre plants are actually spear sansevierias, which are cylin-drical snake plants (Sansevieria cylindrica). They are actually leaf cuttings from cylindric snake plants, to be more precise. The stems are actually thick, succulent leaves, not the opposite.

The cylindrical snake plant, also known as the African spear plant (Sansevieria cylin-drica), is a succulent with upright, gray-green, delicately striped leaves. The shape of the leaves is cylindrical, but at the tips they are pointed. A long flower spike filled with tiny, delicate white blooms may emerge from the center of an African spear plant when it is grown under ideal conditions. They grow slowly in general and are best planted in the spring at the beginning of the growing season.

These succulents naturally grow in hot, dry climates, and they can be harmed or even kil-led by cold temperatures. As long as the soil isn’t saturated, humidity typically isn’t a pro-blem.
